PRICING
Art Advisor offers various pricing solutions for its services, depending on the chosen service and the scope of work. Contact us to see which pricing model suits you best. Art Advisor's fee structures consist of either a fixed price or an hourly rate plus commission. The hourly rate varies between 995 SEK and 1500 SEK depending on the scope and complexity of the work.
For public procurement, we follow the recommendations of the Swedish Artists' Association (KRO) with an hourly fee of 1,130 SEK unless otherwise agreed upon based on the scope and complexity of the work.
For artworks in the lower price range of 10,000 SEK to 100,000 SEK, fixed low fees apply. The time spent on this category is more limited to keep costs down for the customer. We want everyone to be able to buy good art, so we have made this category simple and affordable to access.
For artworks priced up to approximately 40 million SEK, Art Advisor's fee is usually around 10 percent of the transaction price. For more expensive artworks, the fee may be slightly lower.
Regarding the fee, it generally results in a lower total cost for the purchase since Art Advisor negotiates prices on behalf of the customer.
Additional services requested by the customer, such as "Wall to wall delivery," including boxes, shipping, and other logistical handling depending on the purchase location/country, are clearly presented before purchase and billing.
Art Advisor has several clients who take longer to make purchases and wish to learn more during the purchase period with the art advisor before they are ready to make their purchase. Art Advisor then charges a retention fee as compensation for the time spent. This fee also indicates that the client is serious about their collecting and values the art advisor's time. This retention fee can be a one-time payment or a monthly fee depending on the time spent on the work.
Art Advisor has a broad network within the industry both in Sweden and internationally, which helps us gain access to the artworks our customer or we request. It is also constantly changing to provide our customers with an impartial assessment that is not influenced by personal interests. Art Advisor acts as an impartial negotiator in relation to gallery owners, artists, photographers, auction houses, institutions, and other active stakeholders. At Art Advisor, we prioritize the interests of our customers as neutral advisors.
