BUY ART
How does it work?
1. INTRODUCTION
The introduction is a free initial meeting for those who wish to learn more about art and the art world. During the introduction, we provide you with a brief insight into how the art market operates and what to consider when purchasing both contemporary and older art. We discuss factors that can affect both negatively and positively when buying art. The art world can sometimes seem elitist and somewhat inaccessible. This is because the art world is complex in its constant evolution, and there are issues that can easily be avoided with a little advice and guidance along the way. Art Advisor aims to present art and the art world in a way that makes it understandable and accessible to you.
2. CHOOSING ART
Together, we go through a vast registry of different artists and their artworks. We explore various styles (abstract, surrealism, figurative, etc.) and mediums (photography, painting, sculpture, digital, etc.) to discover your preferences and tastes in art. We also consider different artists, the value of artworks, and their development over time.
Depending on your preferences and needs, there is art available for larger contexts such as various art installations involving light, moving images, and more. Art Advisor also offers mural artists who are hired to paint on-site.
We agree on a budget that suits you, regardless of its size, providing an indication of the type of artist and artwork that may be of interest to purchase. We discuss the type of investment, the level of risk, and the duration.
We agree on the number of works to be purchased, whether one or more. We discuss timing: should one or more works be acquired immediately, or do you prefer to purchase one work first, then return for additional purchases after three, six, or twelve months? We discuss the context in which the works will be placed. Are there any specific size or color preferences, or do you need assistance with this? If so, we make a visit to get a feel for the location and the space where the artwork will be placed.
3. PRESENTATION OF ARTISTS AND ARTWORKS
After agreeing on a budget, we return with a proposal. Here, we present a selection of artists and artworks that we believe may be of interest, along with their development and forecast. The artworks presented match the budget and risk over time that we agreed upon during the initial meeting.
That being said, don't be surprised if we also take the opportunity to present some suggestions for more unconventional works, slightly outside the customer's description. This is only as a supplement to broaden the possibilities for a good investment.
If you feel uncertain about our suggestions or if your budget has changed, we will return with new proposals for artworks.
4. ART PURCHASE
If you find any of the presented works interesting, we proceed further. We negotiate with the seller to obtain the best possible price for the works you are interested in. Assuming you as the customer are satisfied with the price, Art Advisor proceeds with the purchase of the artwork and takes care of everything related to the purchase and safe delivery.
Art Advisor also undertakes tasks regarding the installation and hanging of artworks, as well as lighting.
Art Advisor offers what the industry calls "wall-to-wall service," which means we oversee and monitor everything from shipping to custom boxes, insurance matters (regarding shipping), and any customs assistance. And installation at the customer's location.
